Tarrant County's Heritage Roofer Since 1954
Three generations of DFW craftsmen serving Tarrant County families from our Arlington headquarters, with a 20-year written leak-free guarantee on every full roof we install.
HonestRoof.com is proudly headquartered in Arlington, Texas, the heart of Tarrant County and the seventh-largest city in the state. From our shop in Arlington Highlands, three generations of our family have served Tarrant County homeowners for more than seven decades. We've replaced and restored roofs across every corner of this county, from the postwar bungalows of east Fort Worth to the master-planned communities of Southlake, Colleyville, and Trophy Club. With approximately 2.1 million residents spread across cities like Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Grapevine, Bedford, Euless, Hurst, Keller, North Richland Hills, Watauga, and beyond, Tarrant County is the second-largest county in Texas by population. Its housing stock spans nearly every era of North Texas residential construction, and our crews have worked on examples of all of them. When severe weather rolls through DFW, Tarrant County is our first call, because it is home.

Geography
Inside Tarrant County

Major freeways crisscross the county, including Interstate 20, Interstate 30, Interstate 35 West, State Highway 121, State Highway 360, and Loop 820. Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Arlington, Lake Worth, and Marine Creek Lake provide recreation and the lakeside roofing exposure conditions that come with them.
Storm Reality
Weather In Tarrant County
Tarrant County sits squarely in the North Texas hail corridor. The DFW area averages 10 to 20 significant hail events each year, with the most intense activity arriving between March and June. Hailstones regularly reach golf-ball size and larger, with the largest recorded in the area exceeding 2.25 inches in diameter. Straight-line winds from severe thunderstorms frequently top 60 to 80 miles per hour, and tornado watches remain a regular feature of spring evenings. The combination of intense summer sun, temperatures above 100 degrees, sudden temperature swings in spring, and severe storm activity puts every Tarrant County roof through a relentless year-round workout. Roofs in this climate need to be installed for the conditions, not for the brochure.
Roofing Stock
Homes In Tarrant County
Tarrant County's housing inventory tells the story of seven decades of DFW growth. Older neighborhoods in central Fort Worth, Arlington, and Hurst feature low-pitch ranch homes from the 1950s through the 1970s, often with original ridge ventilation that no longer meets current code. Mid-1980s through late-1990s subdivisions in Bedford, Euless, Watauga, and North Richland Hills tend toward steeper-pitch composition shingles with builder-grade decking. The newer master-planned communities of Southlake, Colleyville, Trophy Club, Keller, and parts of Mansfield feature architectural shingles, premium underlayment, and HOA color requirements that must be matched precisely on any replacement. Our crews have worked on examples of all of these. We know which subdivisions had builder-grade ridge vents that need replacing, and which had proper ridge-and-soffit balance from day one.
Permits & Insurance
We Handle The Paperwork.
Most cities in Tarrant County require a building permit for full roof replacements. Permit fees, inspection schedules, and decking requirements vary by city. Arlington, Fort Worth, Mansfield, Grapevine, Southlake, Bedford, Euless, Hurst, Keller, and Colleyville each have slightly different submission processes. We handle the permit on every job we install, including the permit fee. Texas does not require a state-issued license for general roofing work, but reputable installers should carry full general liability and workers compensation insurance. We carry both, and we provide proof on request.
